**💡 Tip:** Make sure your course is **published** for these access restrictions to take effect.

Go to Course **Settings**

Under the course dates, you will see the student access restriction options. These options are **unchecked** by default.
**💡 Tip:** Select **one or both options** to prevent students from viewing the course before the start date, after the end date, or both.

- Select **Restrict students from viewing course before course start date** to prevent students from accessing the course before the scheduled start date. - Select **Restrict students from viewing course after course end date** to prevent students from accessing the course after the scheduled end date. - Select **both options** to prevent access both before the course begins and after it ends.

Click **Update Course Details** to save your changes.
