In a browser, go to[drew.edu/duo ](//drew.edu/duo)

If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to.

For first-time Duo users, you will be greeted with this screen. Click "Start setup" to begin the process.

Select the device that you will primarily use to authenticate. For this example, we are going to be using the Duo app on our phone.

Once you've entered your phone number, use the checkbox to confirm and hit Continue

Select the type of phone you have and hit continue.

At this point, you will need to download the Duo Mobile app from [the App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/duo-mobile/id422663827) or[the Google Play Store.](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duosecurity.duomobile&hl=en_US&gl=US&pli=1)Once it's installed, click the green button to continue

On the Duo app, tap on "Set up account," then "Scan QR code."

Scan the QR code on your computer's screen. When the green checkmark appears, click "Continue"

You'll be brought to the screen that shows the devices you've activated.

"Default Device" gives you the option to select a primary device to authenticate with. "When I log in" gives you the option to set a default login method.

When you've reviewed everything, click "Continue to Login."

**\[THIS PART IS IMPORTANT.\]** You need to login on this page for our system to mark you as a Duo user. We recommend using a Duo Push for logging in. There are three methods of logging in:

- Duo Push will send your phone a notification over wi-fi, which you can then approve login with.
- Call Me will call your phone. When you pick up, press any number on the keypad to authenticate.
- Passcode will use the 6-digit code found inside the Duo App. Once you enter that code, you will be able to login.
