This applies to standard booking engine clients and those that have enabled the white-label Booking Engine version. The conversion event will push the booking ID and the total value to your Google Analytics account. This works for both GA4 and the universal analytics, which is being sunsetted (July 2023) versions.

**Requirements for enabling cross-domain tracking**

 Anyone using the standard Booking Engine (e.g., all non-white labelled booking engine users) must ensure they enable cross-domain tracking. To complete this correctly, you must determine if you use the Google Universal Analytics tracking code. If you are, you can access the guide on how to set up cross-domain tracking here.

Suppose you are using the newer Google Analytics GA4 tracking. You can configure the cross-domain tracking directly in the admin section. You can access the guide on how to configure it here.

**Sections you need to configure in your booking engine.**

There are two input sections to configure in the booking engine: Tracking and e-commerce codes.

You can access the codes by clicking on the Booking Engine module.

When you scroll to the bottom right of your screen, you will identify the Tracking and E-commerce codes. 

Under the Tracking Code section, you can paste any of your trackers. We strongly recommend using Google Tag Manager, allowing you to add other trackers like Meta’s trackers directly into your Google Tag Manager. Under the E-commerce code section, all you need to add is your Google Analytics tracking or measurement ID. If it's a universal version, it will start with UA-xxxxxx -. If you're using the GA4 version, it will begin with G-xxxxxxx.

You can find the GA4 code under the Data Streams tab. You can find the UA code by navigating to the Admin tab and clicking Property Settings. Once you have your Tracking ID, insert it in the section Ecommerce code.

If you have configured the cross-domain and added the correct tracking code to the e-commerce section. You will start seeing conversions in your analytics reporting with the value of the bookings.
