Click "CYBER HEAT MAP Assessment" from the main dashboard.
(Or the "CYBER HEAT MAP" menu option at the top of the screen) 

By default, the overview screen only shows assessment worksheets that need to be completed. 

To see a list of ALL worksheets, click "Show all capabilities" and then click "Search"

To update a worksheet, click "View assessment worksheet"

Because CYBER HEAT MAP focuses on your cybersecurity (i.e. your technical) capabilities, it requires you to provide the vendor solutions you've deployed across your environment.

Click "Update Inventory" to add new solutions to your solutions inventory.

The "Purchased Solutions" section shows all solutions in your inventory that you could use to accomplish this capability.

It shows whether the solution is a product (i.e. managed by your team), a managed service (i.e. managed by the vendor), and includes a link to view more details.

To remove an item from your inventory, click the "Delete" link.

Below this is a list of other solutions you could add to your inventory to accomplish this capability.

The first list shows solutions from vendors you already own, since many institutions are trying to reduce the number of vendors in their infrastructure.

Then there is a list of other solutions from other vendors. 

Simply click "Add this solution to your inventory" to add an item.

TIP: If you do not see a solution you're using in the list, you can request that we research a vendor and add it to the directory.

Just click the "Submit feature request" link at the top of the page and provide information about the vendor and solution you want added.

If we have any questions, we'll follow up with you via email. We typically can add new solutions in a couple business days. 

Once you've added your solution(s) to your inventory, click "Worksheet Summary" to return to the assessment worksheet.

If you want to see a summary of the capability, click "Solution Overview" to see more context.

This shows a description of the capability and its goals in your cybersecurity program.

You can select your current adoption status and enter any comments or notes. For example, you can clarify why you selected a particular adoption level or make a note about a project that is underway to improve this capability.

At the bottom of the screen, you can review any system notes. These are created automatically if a capability status is changed to "Needs Review" (usually because a solution is added or removed from your inventory.)

When you've finished updating the inventory, adoption level, and comments, click the checkbox below "Finish Worksheet" to lock in your answers.

Finish Worksheet Select checkbox and then click "Update" to lock or unlock the worksheet

Click "Update" to save your answers. 

(If you click "Update" without clicking the check box, it will save your new answers, but the worksheet will not be finalized.)

Click "Back to CYBER HEAT MAP Overview" to return to the list of all assessment worksheets.

You'll see a message when you've completed all of the CYBER HEAT MAP assessment worksheets.

You need to complete all "Assessment Worksheets" before you can save a data snapshot or view any of the recommendations and reports.

CampusCISO uses this information to identify cybersecurity capability gaps, identify opportunities for improvement, and for the other recommendation and benchmarking reports.
