How to Update Beneficiaries in UKG

This guide will walk you through the process of adding or modifying your beneficiaries for the Group Term Life Insurance available at no cost to yourself. These changes would also apply to any supplemental coverages through the carrier if applicable. This guide is only for Life Insurance and not your 401(k). This module within UKG only works on a Desktop or Laptop PC and will not function on the App or mobile version.

Logging into UKG and Accessing the Beneficiary Module

Navigate to - <https://psgcommunity.ukg.net> Access Code is - **PSGCommunity** Your login is your work email, your password can be reset using the password reset feature. If you are experiencing login issues, please contact [Payroll@Sunrisemgmt.com](mailto:Payroll@Sunrisemgmt.com) OR [Payroll@livecloudten.com](mailto:Payroll@livecloudten.com).

Click "Myself" on the top left

Click "Life Events" under Myself

Click "I would like to update my Beneficiaries"

Click "Today" to make the effective date immediately

Choose an option from the drop downs. Option include; - Add Beneficiary - Remove Beneficiary - Update Beneficiary

You can verify information for already existing beneficiaries or click "+Add" if you need to add a new beneficiary and or Trust/Estate.

Adding a Beneficiary

Click the "Add" field.

**Required:** - Add the beneficiaries First and Last Name - Contact information such as is also recommended as this is what will be provided to Life Insurance Carrier in the event a claim needs to be initiated: - Address - Phone Number - Email Address

Select the relationship type, if you do not see the relationship type use the "Other" option.

**Alert!** To be able to add this new contact as a **Beneficiary** you must check the beneficiary box. Leaving this section blank or clicking "Dependent" or "Emergency Contact" will not allow you to allocate a percentage of the life insurance benefit to this contact.

Click the "Beneficiary" field.

Click the "Save" field.

Adding a Trust and or Estate as a Beneficiary

Click the "Add" field.

Input the full name of the Trust or Estate in the **First Name** section. Input **Trust** or **Estate** in the **Last Name** section. It is also recommended to input the contact information such as: Phone Number, Email Address or Mailing Address of an authorized Trustee or Broker as this information would be provided to the carrier in the event a claim needs to be initiated.

Select the "Trust/Estate" option.

**Alert!** To be able to add this new Trust/Estate as a **Beneficiary** you must check the beneficiary box. Leaving this section blank or clicking "Dependent" or "Emergency Contact" will not allow you to allocate a percentage of the life insurance benefit to this contact.

Click the "Beneficiary" field.

Click the "Save" field.

Click the "Next" field.

Allocating the Benefit Amount to Your Beneficiary

Click the only option allowed, Group Term Life (GTL). \*If you are enrolled into any supplemental coverages including; Employee, Spouse or Child. These changes will also apply to those plans if applicable.

All contacts that had the "Beneficiary" box checked will be listed below

Properly allocate the percentage of the benefit amount to each contact you would like. Total must equal 100%. Primary is required, Secondary is optional

Click the "Next" field.

Review your changes

Click the "Submit" field.
