How to Use SMAART Text

This guide shows how to turn a Word template into a filled PDF using RAAMP’s SMAART Text so lease-based documents (leases, estoppels, waivers, consents) auto-populate with tenant data. It explains required file naming/placement, where to upload the template in the tenant’s files, and how to preview the generated PDF. Follow it to save time, avoid manual entry, and produce consistent, ready-to-sign documents.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU START

RAAMP has the ability to create PDF leases, Estoppels, Waivers and consents, or really any other document from your lease data. This feature is simple to use and is done entirely through the Tenant's file management tab and a document editor like MSWord. If you need any additional fields not in the template, please email [Support@RAAMP.com](mailto:Support@RAAMP.com) and we will do our best to get you what you need. - Download the template. - Open the template to see how the various tags will be replaced with the current Tenant's information. - **Requirements** - *You will need to create a Word document (.doc, .docx).* - For example, if you want to use SMAART Text for an Estoppel, the Estoppel file type needs to be a Word document (.doc, .docx). - *The file name must begin with #RAAMPST#* - This is a placeholder to let the RAAMP system know that this is intended to be a SMAART text document. - *The file must be placed in a **tenant folder.***

From the navigation menu, select **Tenants** > Locate the tenant.\ \ **NOTE: You can locate the Tenant quickly by searching for it.**

Select the tenant's **three-dot menu** > Select **Files.**

Select **Click or Drop Files Here** .

Locate the **document** from your computer. **IMPORTANT REMINDER -** *The file name must begin with #RAAMPST#* - This is a placeholder to let the RAAMP system know that this is intended to be a SMAART text document.

Once the Word Document is done processing, the created PDF will appear in the files list > Double-click the **file** to preview it.

Select the tenant's **three-dot menu** > Select **Files.**

Select **Click or Drop Files Here** .

Once the Word Document is done processing, the created PDF will appear in the files list > Double-click the **file** to preview it.
