How to complete Check-In surveys

This guide shows you how to complete the Welcome and Progress & Wellbeing Check-In surveys

First, log into your Aptem account and from your Dashboard click on 'Learning Plan' on the left hand panel

You will see the Check-Ins at intervals on your learning plan: You will be asked to complete the Welcome Check-In 4 weeks after you start your apprenticeship. The Progress & Wellbeing Check-Ins will then be completed at week 9 and then every 10 weeks thereafter On the due date, click on the Check-In component

Click 'Show All Instructions' in the right hand panel to view the full instructions

In the bottom right you will see 'Start Learning'. Click on this to take you to the Check-In

After clicking 'Start Learning' you will be taken to the Check-In questions. The first step is to enter your Skills Edge Student email address:

Alert! Be sure to enter your Skills Edge Student email address exactly to allow us to correctly identify your answers

Then please answer each question. Please read the statement carefully and provide a response.

Tip! Remember, there are no right or wrong answers here! What's important is that we have an accurate understanding of your experience with Skills Edge. Your answers will help us to support you and improve the experiences of all Skills Edge apprentices

After responding to the statements the next question asks you if you have any further comments, suggestions or concerns. Again, your honest answers here are invaluable to us and will help Skills Edge to support you and improve our service

The next question is on Safeguarding. Your safety and well being are extremely important to us. Please read the question carefully. You will find the contact details of our Safeguarding Team here. You can also answer 'Yes' and a member of the Safeguarding team will contact you shortly to discuss any concerns you may have and offer support.

We then ask if you would like to receive careers advice and guidance at this time. If you answer 'No' this does not prevent you from asking for this again in the future.

Finally, we ask two questions to ensure you are paid the minimum wage and are not paying any of the costs associated with your apprenticeship. Again, there are no right or wrong answers here - Please answer honestly and Skills Edge can provide any necessary support

When you have answered all the questions please click 'Submit' at the bottom of the form. This submits your answers to Skills Edge for review.

Finally, please click 'Finish' at the bottom. This is important to ensure the completion of the survey is registered correctly on your Aptem Learning Plan

You will then see that the Check-In component on your learning plan is showing as 'Completed'

After you have completed the Check-In we will review your responses. Your responses will help us plan your apprenticeship more effectively, and provide tailored support. Your Assessor may discuss some or all of your responses with you and your manager in your next Progress Review. However, in certain circumstances a member of the Skills Edge team may be in touch sooner should we feel this would benefit you. Thank you for taking the time to complete the Check-In!
