How to conduct a Competency Test

This guide quickly shows the exact steps to run a competency test, so you can complete it accurately and without missing actions.

To conduct a Competency Test, you will need to ensure that you have 'Visa App Auditor' permissions.

Firstly, once logged into the 'Visa' app, select the three lines in the top left-hand corner.

Next, scroll down to the 'Audit' section and select 'Competency Test'.

Now select the competency test from the list or you can use the search bar at the bottom to search for the test manually.

Next, select 'Start a new test'. You will also see an option to 'resume' (if you already have one in progress).

Now, search for the candidate. You can do this by searching for their name, email, Airport ID or company name by typing into the search bar at the bottom of the page.

Click on the arrow next to the user's name.

If you see the message below, you will need to make sure first that all prerequisites have been completed prior to doing this test.

This next part is optional - If set up, you will now need to confirm that the candidate has been informed of the training criteria and then select 'Continue'.

Now, hand the device to the candidate (this can be a phone or tablet) and then select the box below.

The candidate now needs to tick the box below and then click 'Continue'.

Now, hand the device back to the 'Assessor' and then click the box below (this part is optional - If set up).

To assess progress, the assessor can click on the drop down arrows next to the test heading.

Once opened, you will see the screen below. Some answers may require sub-criteria, so please ensure that the answers are both ticked if necessary.

The assessor can now mark the test by selecting 'Pass' for a correct answer and then 'Confirm Pass. There is also an option to add any additional notes if required.

If anything other than a 'Pass' is awarded for the criteria, such as a penalty or a fail, comments must be added before saving.

Now, you will see a breakdown of the test and the progress that has been completed. Once 100% is completed, select 'Review Test'.

Select 'Confirm' once you are ready to proceed.

The results will now appear and you the assessor and candidate will now need to add their signature.

The candidate should now sign in the space provided and then click 'Confirm'.

The assessor should now do the same and sign in the space and select 'Confirm'.

Once this has been completed, the signature boxes will turn green and you can select 'Complete Test'. Once clicked, the record will be visible on the candidates profile for review.
