Grades in non-read-only columns can be changed or added.

It is also possible to add a new column. This will create a new assignment in the course when you upload the csv file again. New assignments created this way have the following default settings:

- Assignment Group: Assignments
- Submission Type: No submission
- Due date for: Everyone

You can delete unedited columns but a few columns are mandatory for the upload: 

- Student Name
- Student ID
- SIS User ID (only required if you use SIS)
- SIS Login ID (only required if you use SIS)
- Section
- Assignment (this can be for an existing assignment or a new assignment; retain IDs for existing assignments)

Make sure to select CSV UTF-8 as file type.

Now go to the Canvas course you want to import the data.

Click Choose File to select the CSV file you just edited.

If you added a new column you will be asked what to do with the new column, select the new assignment option in the dropdown menu.

You will get an overview of the changes that will be made to the Gradebook. Click Save changes.

You see the 'Extra opdracht' is added as a column in the Gradebook.

Also the grades are edited based on the imported CSV file.
