Access the booking engine via the 'book' button. Keep the booking engine open in a separate tab.

Show only 1 room type in the Booking Engine:

You can have your link direct you to a single room type that you have set up in your settings. Please follow these steps:

In the Booking Engine module, select the dropdown menu for 'direct link to a specific category'. From the dropdown, select which category you would like to display.

Once you have selected the category, click the 'Show only this category' field.

Click 'COPY WIDGET' to automatically copy the code or;

Open the widget code and manually copy the code. You can for example use this code on your website page for that specific category.

You (or your web designer) can add this widget to the site.

Using the date picker widget:

The date picker widget allows your guests to select their stay dates in on your website, to seamlessly navigate to the booking engine from there.

In the Booking Engine module, scroll down to the 'Check availability' widget. Click on the 'COPY WIDGET' button to automatically copy the code or;

Open the widget code and manually copy the code. You can use this widget on your website for guests to select the dates and then be automatically be redirected to the booking engine with prefilled dates.

You (or your web designer) can add this widget to the site.

Automatically adding a discount code to your booking engine:

For direct bookings you may want to install an automatic discount code on your booking engine, rewarding guests booking through your website. \

Please follow these steps to install this automation;

In the booking engine module, scroll down to the discount codes section.

Select the discount code you would like you use for direct bookings. **Note:** make sure you have filled out the expiration date, otherwise it will not work.

Click 'SAVE' after setting the expiration date.

Go to the booking engine and add the following to the URL:

?coupon=20DISCOUNT

(please note, the part after the = will be your unique discount code which you copied in the steps mentioned before).

You will now have a URL that will look something like this:

<https://booking.roomraccoon.co.za/RoomRaccoon-South-Africa/en/?20DISCOUNT>

You (or your web designer) can paste this URL to your website when guests book direct from there.

Now, when guests book using the above link, the discount code will be prefilled in the booking engine.
