      In order to follow this guide you will need to open this webpage in your browser [https://www.thegeographist.com/uk-cities-population-100/#:~:text=100%20Largest%20Cities%20and%20Towns%20in%20the%20UK,%20%20579%2C256%20%2037%20more%20rows%20](https://www.thegeographist.com/uk-cities-population-100/#:~:text=100%20Largest%20Cities%20and%20Towns%20in%20the%20UK,%20%20579%2C256%20%2037%20more%20rows%20) and open Microsoft Excel.
      For this example we are going to use population by UK Cities and Towns.

      Obtaining the web address

      Click into the address bar and right click the address and select [[Copy]] or press {{CTRL+C}}

      Importing from the web

      In Excel click the "Data" tab.
      Click "From Web".
      Click into the "URL" box.
      Now either right click and select [[PASTE]] or press [[CTRL+V]]
      Click "OK" followed by "Connect".
      This will find all objects on the webpage. Click "Table 0".
      A preview will appear of the data you are going to pull through. Once you're happy that the information is correct, press "Load".
      This will pull through the data from the online source for you to manipulate as you require.
