Synology

You can install the Synology Photos app by either tapping on **App Store** on your iPhone or iPad or simply go to this link <https://apps.apple.com/us/app/synology-photos/id1484764501>

If you used the link, proceed to step 5

Tap on **Search**

Tap on the search box at the top of the screen and type in 'synology photos', then tap on **Search**

Tap on **Get** next to Synology Photos app to begin installation

You will then have to confirm with a Double-Click to install

You will now see Synology Photos installing showing you a percentage of install process.

Once Synology Photos has finished installing, tap on **Open**

The first time Synology Photos opens, you will see the Privacy Matters message. Either tap on **Accept** or Skip

You will need to enter the following information for your Synology NAS: 1. Address or QuickConnect ID 2. Account 3. Password Then, tap on **Sign In**

If you see a message Untrusted connection under Connection Security with the IP address of your Synology NAS, this is quite normal for a local network and tap on **PROCEED**

You will then see the message signing in with the IP address of your Synology NAS

Now you will be prompted to whether you want to Enable Photo Backup from your Apple iPhone or iPad to the Synology, which you can select Not Now if you do not want this feature.

You have successfully installed and setup the Synology Photos app and you can add photos, view albums or share with others. If you have already added photos to your Synology DSM, you should see them starting to appear.

Only proceed with step 15 & 16 if you cannot see photos you have previously added

If you have already added photos but cannot see them, it's quite possible that you need to change from Personal Space to Shared Space which depends on how you setup the folders in the Synology DSM. Try tapping on **Personal Space** at the top

Then tap on **Shared Space**

If you still can't see your photos after changing to Shared Space, it is recommended you contact Synology Support or an IT Specialist
