Navigate to [https://eu1.make.com/templates/10245-validate-docuware-document-index-entries-before-storing-into-file-cabinet](https://eu1.make.com/templates/10245-validate-docuware-document-index-entries-before-storing-into-file-cabinet)

Click "Create new scenario from template"

Give your webhook a name eg. "DocuWare Validation" and save

Click "Copy address to clipboard". We will register this later in DocuWare

Click "Continue" to apply the pre-defined index field names.

Note: All index field names used in this template are default DocuWare file cabinet fields, while creating a new file cabinet. You may have to adapt them accordingly. See the video tutorial here: [https://youtu.be/5j3yL69g13A](https://youtu.be/5j3yL69g13A)

Apply the next steps simply by clicking "Continue". You can leave the defaults.

Click "Choose an account" and select your DocuWare account

Select the file cabinet that should be searched for duplicate documents

Select the search dialog that should be used for searching duplicate documents.

You can leave all the pre-defined defaults or adapt them accordingly. Check and map the index fields used for searching

Make sure the schedule is set to "Immediately". Open the schedule settings for the webhook and click "OK" to switch to "Immediately"

Switch to your DocuWare Configurations and register the validation URL that we've copied before.

Paste your webhook URL (copied in step #5) here and save the configuration 

Switch to the File Cabinets in the DocuWare Configuration and select the File Cabinet, which should be validated

Select the store dialog that should be used for validation (eg. "Default Store Dialog")

Click this dropdown and select the new validation webservice created earlier.

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS! All index fields are now validated BEFORE storage!

You can now also try to enter "quote" as Document Type. The error message will differ this time
