Open Microsoft Edge and then type in the IP address of your Synology NAS in the address bar

You will see the security warning "Your connection isn't private", click on **Advanced**

This is normal when connecting to your Synology NAS via its local IP address (e.g., (192.168.1.100)) over HTTPS, this triggers the error because there's no valid, publicly trusted certificate for a private IP address.

Click Continue to **192.168.1.100 (unsafe)**

Note that the IP 192.168.1.100 is an example in this guide and that your Synology NAS could have a different IP address

Type in your Username and then click on the blue arrow to proceed

Type in your password and tick 'Stay signed in' if you don't want it to keep asking you for login details. Then click the blue arrow to proceed

If you have secondary verification enabled, enter a verification code and tick the box 'Don't ask again on this device' if you do not want to be prompted for the code everytime. Then click the blue arrow to continue.

You are now logged into your Synology NAS
