One of the ways a user provided advanced permissions to make objects public for specified groups is to change the ownership of the object over to the group and then make the object public.

***Use this option if it is desired to only have the name of the group displayed on the resource.   If it is desired to have the group + the name of user contributing the resource displayed, then see Publish by Endorsement below.***

***Note:*** *Objects include Resources added to the platform, Lessons, Outlines and Projects created using the Curriculum Tools, and Collections created.*

*Log* into the platform and access the object you would like to make Public within your Public Group

1. *Log* into the platform and access the object you would like to make Public within your Public Group
2. *Click* on the Gears Icon in the toolbar on the right side of the object, *select* **Change Ownership**.

**Note:** *Changing ownership of an object does not make it automatically display within the group unless the group has a tiles block set up with filters applied to recognize those filters on the applicable objects. 1. From the Change Ownership Modal, *select* Find Other Owner and in the text box, Type in the name of the group you would like to change the objects ownership over to. 
2. *Click* the Change Ownership button.

***Note:*** *Users will only be able to change the ownership over to groups that they have the advanced permissions provided to perform the function for.*

*Click* the Gears Icon again, this time *selecting* **Manage Permissions**

1. From the Management Permissions Modal, *select* the desired permission settings
2. After all desired permissions are *selected*, *click* the **Save Permissions button**

**Note:** *the user will be listed on the permissions modal. The user can remove themselves at this point, as the resource will be found within the Group. If the user would like the resource to continue to display on their dashboard under My Resources, then leave name listed here.*

One of the ways a user provided advanced permissions to make objects public for specified groups is to use the Endorsement Feature. An object is Endorsed by a group and can then be made public.

**Open** the applicable object

- *Click* on the gears icon and select
- From the Content Endorsements Modal, select the Endorsement Type, Endorser and check the Share Content with Public box. Click the + sign.
- *Click* the **Save Content Endorsements button**

Both the contributing user and the Endorsing group will display below the objects icon.
