Log in to [VU Collaborate](https://vucollaborate.vu.edu.au/d2l/home) and navigate to a unit space

To access news posts, on the navbar, click **"Communication"**.

Then **"News"**. You will now see a list of previous news posts.

To **edit** a post, click the menu, after the news title.

Then select **"Edit"** from the dropdown list.

After you have made your updates, you have the option to tick major edits, to send a notification to students, and restore the post if it had been dismissed.

When complete, click **"Update"** to save your changes.

To highlight a news item you can **"pin"** it to the top of the window.  To do so select the dropdown menu after the news item title.

Then select **"Pin to top"**. This will now be the first news post displayed.

To unpin the news, click the **"Pin"** icon after the news title.

Alternatively, you may unpin the news by clicking the dropdown menu and selecting "Unpin".

To reorder News items, click on "More Actions" at the top of the News section.

Select the numbers to indicate the order you would like the news to be displayed.

When complete, click **"Save"** to update changes.

**To delete a post,** from the dropdown menu.

If you wish to delete multiple News items, tick the box on the top left of the News Items.
