This feature allows participants to select the time and date for their interview/assessment exercise.

Navigate to your Project in the Admin Portal.

Allow the participant to schedule their preferred assessment centre session date.

Click "Manage participant self-selection groups"

Name the group.

Select a DAC session template for the session.

Add the numbers of days to "selection window". This is the number of days in which the participant can select a session after receiving the invite.

Edit the "change window" and "date selection window" as needed.

The "Date selection window" specifies the cutoff point for selecting a slot: So\
 if you have an AC scheduled for 9am and the Date selection window is set to\
 24 hours participants won't be able to select this slot after 9am the day before \
This helps to stop last minute bookings.

You can set up a self-selection group for a "Fixed" or "Recurring" date. 

If selecting "recurring", select the start and end date. 

You also can add dates that should be excluded from self-selection.

Change the start-time if needed.

Set the maximum allowed participants for this session.

Give the session a name

"Automate submission of schedule"

If this box is ticked, the session will automatically be scheduled after the participant selects a time-slot. 

If it is NOT selected, each session needs be validated after the participant has choosen a time-slot (see step 40 of this tutorial onwards). 

Click "edit" for the self-selection group.

Add participants to the (+ Add) button. 

Alternatively, click the checkbox for each candidate, click "actions" and "add selected". 

Participants can also be added to self-selection groups automatically. This would need to be set-up via by a Sova Team member via the CMS.

Once this has been set up, the participants can select a session.

If you haven't selected the "automated submission" checkbox, their session still needs to be validated (see steps below). 

This the process from the participant perspective: 

They have the option to select a different slot before confirming. 

Navigate to the *Schedule* tab &gt; "Actions" &gt; "Manage participant self-selection groups"

Click "edit" on the group you want to validate session(s) for.

Click the link symbol for session(s) that are in 'draft' stage, i.e. haven't been validated and submitted.

Alternatively, you can also find sessions that require validation via the calendar. They are marked in light blue (rather than the dark blue of validated session). Click on them to navigate to the session and follow the same process.
