Managing Students: Add, Edit, and Archive Students (Standalone Only)

This guide provides essential steps for efficiently managing students within the EdMod Standalone platform, including adding, editing, and archiving accounts.

Edmodapp

Adding a New Student

In the upper-right-hand corner of the screen, click on the blue circular "Author Stamp" with your initials. In the menu that appears, click "Settings".

Click "Rostering"

Note: If you are an administrator and do not see the 'Rostering' option on your settings page, you may not have permissions to access this feature. Please reach out to your CS Manager for help. If you are a staff member with this issue, please reach out to your administrator regarding this matter.

At the top right-hand corner of the student list, click on the three dots. Click on "Add New Account"

1. Click "Student" 2. Add First Name 3. Add Last Name 4. Add ID 5. To add students to courses, search for a course by typing it in. Click "Save" when complete.

Editing Student Names and/or Courses

Within "Rostering", Select "Students" to view your student roster. Click the magnifying glass to search for a specific student.

Once the student is found, hover over the name and click "edit" on the far right.

You can edit their name as well as add/remove courses. Click "Save" when complete.

Archiving Students

Note: *The following instructions will completely remove the student from your school's roster. (Although their associated data will be retained for 30 days.) If the student in question will return during the school year, we recommend removing them from all courses rather than archiving them. This will ensure that staff members have no access to that student's information, but will be easy to add them to new courses when they return.*

While in "Rostering", search for the student that is being archived (steps to do so are above). Click "Archive and remove from all courses".

A pop up will appear confirming that you want to archive this student. Click "Archive".
