Managing Residents in the Admin Portal

This tab is where all of your end users are stored; we call them Residents. Residents can of course be business owners or other constituents as well. Residents will typically enroll into the system on their own either via a link you will provide them or by QR code. By registering, the residents will be able to receive project notifications.

Before we begin, we must emphasize the importance of handling user account data with sensitivity. Users must also opt-in for all subscriptions to notifications. You must handle their requests with care.

Viewing Residents

These are your residents who are subscribed to projects or posts

Residents can be search for or filtered by project. The search bar can search by First Name, Last Name, Address, and Email. Filtering is by project or post name only.

Click "Manage Unsubscribed Users" to view users who have registered into the platform, but are not currently subscribed to a project or post

Multiple view of the map are supported including a standard map view

Residents can be viewed on an aerial map. Google Street View is supported as well

Adding Residents into the system

Residents can be added via 3 ways. 1. Self Enrollment - the Resident creates an account on their own from the Resident Portal 2. Manual Entry - someone within the City enrolls the resident with basic information 3. Bulk Upload - using a CSV file, a bulk of Resident information is uploaded together to create multiple accounts

Bulk Upload Option - Select the project you want to subscribe users to

Click "Download file format" to download an excel sheet to input data into

Follow the instructions on the first tab of the excel sheet to properly format the bulk upload of residents.

The bulk upload feature is a great way to import many residents at one time. You may find it useful for things like public meetings.

Residents must opt-in for the system. Many cities own their own utility and have property owner data. This data cannot be brought over without permission. Contact Construction Site Technologies and your legal department for more information.

Click "Choose File" to open a file browser to upload the completed .csv file

Click "Upload"

Click the "I have authorization to create accounts and subscribe to notifications on behalf of these individuals." field.

Click "Continue"

To manually add a resident, click the "Add Resident" button

Choose which projects or posts the resident is requesting to be subscribed to

Complete the necessary information including their name, phone number, email, and set a temporary password.

Using the Google Maps feature, insert their address. The correct address is important for geo-location based project sorting and for sending notifications.

Choose the notification preferences the resident has requested. You must have permission to subscribe to notifications on their behalf.

Click the "Email" field.

Click "Submit" to save. The resident will be opted into the projects or posts as selected, and they will receive an email with the login information.

Editing Residents/Password Resets

Click the action menu button

Click "Edit"

From this screen, you can update contact information, change project/post subscriptions, or change their password.

Deleting Residents

Residents may choose to opt out of the system and wish to be deleted. This process cannot be undone.

Click the action menu button

Click "Delete". This will permanently delete the resident account.
