Manually adding virtual credit cards in the Online Payment Studio can be useful for cards issued in the past, if the charge has not gone through the automatic process or if the hotel has a payment terminal that doesn't accept 'card not present' processing.

To manually add a Virtual Credit Card, navigate to the [Online Payment Studio](https://ops.smarthotel.nl/payments).

For hotels using the Smart Channel Manager, please use the internal reservation number from the channel manager. If the reservation is not present there, then please use your own reservation reference.

For hotels using Opera PMS, please use the PMS reservation ID so the deposit can be delivered.

Click the "Guest name" field and type the guest name. This will be shown in the overview

Click the "Arrival date" field and enter the arrival date.

If the arrival is in the past please use today's date.

Click the card detail fields and enter all card details.

Click the "Balance in cents" field and enter the amount which is available on the Virtual Credit Card in cents.

Click the "Effective date" field. This is the date the card can be charged.

If the Effective Date is **today** or **tomorrow** it will automatically be charged at **05:00 UTC tomorrow**. 

Otherwise, please manually trigger the charge through Open Charges.

Click "Send" to apply the Virtual Credit Card.

Manually add a Virtual Card in OPS
