Loft47

**Before merging contacts in [[Loft47]], follow these key rules:** You can safely merge the following: - Profile contacts → Agent contacts - Profile contacts → Organization contacts - Profile contacts → Other profile contacts - Organization contacts → Duplicate organization contacts # 🚫 Do NOT merge these # ❌ Organization contacts into Agent contacts # ❌ Agent contacts into Organization contacts - Merging is permanent and cannot be undone, so proceed carefully. - If profiles have financial data, **all earnings will transfer into the profile you keep**. - **Both profiles cannot exist on the same deal**—remove one of the duplicates from any overlapping deals before merging.

Key notes before merging contacts in [[Loft47]] - For organization merges linked to profile contacts, first **decouple profile contacts** before merging, as they may be tied to payouts or deals and will need to be re-linked afterward. Keep them open in a separate tab for easy reattachment. - When merging profiles with financial data, all **earnings, commissions, and reporting history** will transfer to the profile being kept. - Both profiles **cannot exist on the same deal** before merging, or it will cause financial sync errors or failed merges. - To fix this, go to the **Deals page**, filter by both profiles, find overlapping deals, reopen them, and remove one duplicate profile before retrying the merge.

⚠️ **How to avoid duplicate contacts** Duplicate contacts may occur when importing deals from [[Dotloop]], [[SkySlope]],or [[DocuSign]], as each system manages contacts differently and mismatches can happen if records are not aligned. When importing deals into [[Loft47]], contacts are automatically synced and matched first by email, then by the system’s matching logic.
