The CLC Toolbox is a resource of best practices and strategies for EveryAction and VAN - everything from how to send email blasts to the quirks of the Bulk Uploader.

CLC Toolbox resources are designed to be accessible to beginners. Many of resources look like the guide you're looking at right now, something we call a Click-Through Guide, since each click is documented.

This Click-Through Guide will orient you as to how you will interact within the Toolbox and access the courses you need!

Our goal with the Toolbox is to make our guides more accessible, user-friendly and sustainable to a wider audience of EveryAction users.

Some aspects of the Toolbox are available in Spanish. Click ES in the bottom right-hand corner of your browser to toggle the language.

Once you have created your password, you will be redirected to the My Dashboard page.

Your dashboard will provide a view of the courses you are enrolled in (have access to) through your account.

Once you have created your account, you can start building your EveryAction skills!

The My Courses page includes all the courses that you are enrolled in (currently have access to).

From here, you can view all courses you are enrolled in, courses that are In Progress, Complete or Expired.

From your My Courses page, you can search for a course or a lesson you are enrolled in using keywords by clicking into the "Search" bar.

Type the guide name or course name you want to find and hit ENTER on your keyboard.

Please note that the search bar responds to keywords and will populate the COURSE that a keyword or Click-Through Guide lives in.

For example, if you are looking for a specific guide and you search the title "Create and Use a Custom Export Format," the Reporting course will populate.

Or, if you search the keywords, "custom export format" the Reporting course will populate.

Like all search features, the function is not exact. If you don't find what you're looking for the first time, try a different combination!

When you've found the course you're looking for,

click SEE OVERVIEW to learn more about the lessons in this course.

or click START COURSE to begin taking the lessons.

From the See Overview page, get a sense of what is included in this course including how many Click-Through Guides (or step-by-step instructions) are in the course and the titles of the lessons.

If you're ready to get started, click OPEN COURSE.

You are now viewing your course and can begin learning!

Check out your navigation options within the course:

- At the top left, click GO TO DASHBOARD to return to your dashboard.
- The left menu shows a list of the course chapters and lessons.
- The section headers allow you go directly to a section of the Click-Through Guide
- On the upper right side, you can click DISCUSSION to add a comment or question.
- Select COMPLETE & CONTINUE to move to the next lesson

Each Click-Through Guide has section headers menu. These might not appear in your view if your browser is too small.

If the window is compressed, click the double arrow icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen to expand the Click-Through Guide and view it full-screen.

This provides a clearer view of the left-hand side headers which allow you to easily jump to different sections of the guide.

Similarly, click the double arrow icon again when you are ready to return to the original view with chapters and lessons.

Courses have a toolbar to the left that allows you to move throughout the chapters of a course. The amount of chapters and lessons within a course vary.

Click the down arrow to expand a chapter and view the available lessons within.

Once you have reached the end of the lesson, click COMPLETE AND CONTINUE to move on to the next lesson.

The course takes you through the lessons in order, but you may not need to read each guide in order to build the EveryAction skills you need. 

Click the name of a lesson instead if you want to jump around in a course.

When you have scrolled through the entirety of the Click-Through Guide, click COMPLETE AND CONTINUE.

Once you click COMPLETE & CONTINUE on the last lesson of the course, you will receive a pop up notification letting you know you have completed the course!

To leave the course you are in, click GO TO DASHBOARD in the top left of the course window.

All of our courses and lessons within have the capability to engage with the course material through discussions.

We are anticipating questions and comments as you navigate your way through our courses and we encourage you to ask as many to contribute to all Toolbox users learning.

To add a question or a comment, click DISCUSSIONS.

Click into the text box below "Title" and add a context driven title name.

Click into the text box below "Post" and type the body of your question.

You can insert images (under 10MB), insert links and upload files (under 30MB) to support your discussion.

Remember: your discussion will be visible to all other Toolbox users in this course and the CLC team. 

**Do not** add private information in a discussion post.

CLC Toolbox Admin will be alerted to a discussion being added. We review all questions and comments.

As the creator of the post, you will also receive an email notification for any activity that the post may have, including any replies.

If you select ALL COURSES at the top of the page, you can see **all available courses** on the Toolbox. This may include courses that you are not currently enrolled in, or that are part of other available syllabi. If you have questions about what is included in your access, email hello@clctoolbox.org.

**All Products:** All products that the CLC Toolbox contains, including the other categories courses.

- **Click-Through Guides:** Courses that consist exclusively of CLC staff written best practices and strategies for navigating EveryAction.
- **Coming Soon:** Click-Through Guide courses that are in development but will soon be available.
- **Integrations:** Click-Through Guide courses that involve intregrates with platforms outside of EveryAction.
- **Interactive Courses:** Courses that include Click-Through Guides but are built out with tools and gamification to support the self-learner. These course are currently in beta.
- **VAN:** Courses that ensure new campaign staff are trained to best practice uses of VAN.

To edit or update your profile, click your user name and then MY ACCOUNT.

You can edit/update:

- **Profile:** Any changes to your "Professional Title," "Site Language," change your email address, upload a photo of yourself, etc.
- **Password:** Change your password.
- **Certificates:** View any certificates that you have been issues for completion of courses.
- **Notifications:** View any replies to discussions you may have posted.
- **Billing:** Add a saved credit card, edit subscriptions and payment plans.
- **Order History:** View which courses you've ordered, the date the course was ordered, the status of each course and the price you paid for each course.
