The use of items below 100 is acceptable but auto indexing will not occur and will need to be manually entered.

**You can organize your items by Category or in Numerical order via an Item Spreadsheet.**

Group the items in hundreds according to category. Let's say you have 5 items for your electronics category, 4 items for your Beauty Category, and 2 Items for your Trips category, here is what this should look like:

There are 2 ways to number your items.

1) Spreadsheet

You can organize your items by Category or in Numerical order via an Item Spreadsheet.

Use the Item spreadsheet located under Items > Manage Items. Group them in hundreds according to category. Let's say you have 5 items for your electronics category, 4 items for your Beauty Category, and 2 Items for your Trips category, here is what this should look like:





Notice how when a new category starts the number jumps up by 100 leaving room for any items that come in last minute.




* * * This allows an organization to get started with their item import without worrying about adding an item down the road. They can simply add it to the end of their numbering for that group. "Oh snap, we got another Apple Watch!" No problem, just add it to the end of the electronics numbering, in this case, it would be item 105.




* * * Once you have uploaded your item spreadsheet, go to Items > Manage Categories & Ordering to put them in the order you want them to appear on the bidding site.  See below: 





2)Manual Adjustment

Under Items > Manage Items, under the Number column, you also have the ability to change the item number.  By clicking on the item number, you will get a popup that will allow you to change the item name.

Note: You can only change this item number if there are currently no bids on the item.

Save template as a CSV UTF 8 for a more successful upload.

To organize your items further on the landing page and bidding site, Click "Items"

Click "Sort Order" to choose how you want the items displayed.

By Category First, Then Item Number

Make sure to enter in a sort order if you are sorting by category first.

To make a change just make the change to the Name or Sort and move to a new field. When you exit a field any change will automatically be updated. To verify the change you can refresh the page.

If some of the items do not have a category assigned on the "Manage Items" page, they will automatically display first on the Landing Page and Bidding Site.

Click the item number you want to change.

- Item numbers can not be changed if the item has bids.
- You can only use numbers that are not already in use.

Enter the new item number then "Update Item"

Select your items you would like to re-number by using the check box to the left of the item name. You can select all items, or a specific group of them to re-number.

Updates the item numbers to the first available number starting with the one provided.
