The Demolition process requires a two-step process for the Excavator. 

The following information will review the Demolition process via the OKIE 8 1 1 Portal in it's entirety.

Step 1 of the Demolition Process: The excavator must submit a "Demolition Notice", which is the notice of the intent to demolish a structure to OKIE 8 1 1, providing operators of the underground facilities in the area at least 7 business days’ notice of the proposed demolition.

To submit the "Demolition Notice" Ticket, in the "*Request Type*" field, select "*Demolition*"

Review the information about the "Demolition" ticket process.  Click "Yes" to proceed.

Enter the work site details including *County, Town/Nearest Town, Address or Driving Directions, Cross Street* and *Location* information.

Encompass the full extent of the work site on the map.

Click "*Next*" to provide the remaining Demolition details.

The "*Work to Begin Date & Time*" defaults to 7 business days from the current date and cannot be changed. 

This period provides the operators of the underground facilities in the area at least 7 business days’ notice of the proposed demolition. During this 7 business day period, if the facility operator determines that underground facilities are within the proposed area of demolition and such facilities require additional protection, service removal or termination, the operator shall communicate this information to the excavator and by mutual agreement, the operator and excavator shall determine a date to begin the demolition, which shall not exceed 60 business days.

The "Demolition Notice" is good for sixty business days from the original demolition notice date.  The "*Good Until*" date will reflect that expiration date.

Click the calendar icon to enter the "*Estimated Completion Date*" of the actual Demolition.

Enter who the Demolition work is being done for.

Select any of the checkbox fields that apply to the Demolition site.

If there are access issues to the property, include the specific access instructions.

You may enter a job number or name for your records, but it is not required.

Edit any "*Excavator Detail*" as needed prior to submitting the ticket.

Click "*Submit*" to submit the "*Demolition Notice".*

You will receive a "*Demolition Notice*" ticket number.

Step 2 of the Demolition Process: No less than 48 hours (not including the date of notification, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays) prior to the start of the demolition excavation, the excavator must *UPDATE* the "Demolition Notice" to submit a "Demolition" dig ticket for excavation purposes to OKIE 8 1 1.

The work to begin date on the locate request ticket must be on or after the 7 business day date on the "Demolition Notice".

To submit the "Demolition" dig ticket  -  In the "*Quick Ticket Search*", Enter the ticket number of the "Demolition Notice" that you received from Step 1 of the process.

You may also go to "*Ticket Search*" and enter the ticket number there or choose the ticket from the list.

This will open up the "Demolition Notice" ticket details to verify you are submitting the correct ticket.

To submit the "Demolition" dig ticket - Select *Create &gt; Update As &gt; Demolition*

Use the calendar icon to select the work date and time you plan to start the actual Demolition of the structure. The work to begin date on the locate request ticket must be on or after the 7 business day date on the "Demolition Notice", but no more than 10 business days from the submission date.

Click '*Save*' to complete the Demolition Dig ticket (Locate Request)
