When viewing this video, you may choose to change the speed of audio by hovering over the top right corner, skip through steps via the navigation bar and view the entire contents of the information in a 'scroll view' by clicking the "View Full Scribe" icon at the bottom right of the screen.

To submit a ticket with Driving Directions only, enter the work site details including *County, Place/Nearest Place, Prefix, Street Name, Street Type, Street Suffix* and *Cross Street.* Entering all of the elements of the street name and cross street name will ensure a more accurate map search.

Enter the *Driving Directions* and *Marking Instructions*

Click the "*Search*" tool to begin the map search.

If the location is Rural, choose the "*Rural*" selection from the "*Work Place*" drop down, and then enter the nearest town in the "*Nearest Town*" field. This will help with your map search for Rural streets.

If the Intersection of the "Street Name" and "Cross Street" entered in the work site fields is found, the "Find" panel will display the results.  Select the "Intersection" result in the "Find" Panel to highlight the intersection on the map.

Once the starting intersection is found on the map, you can follow driving directions using the mapping tools.

To measure a distance, select the "*Tools*" menu and select "*Measurement*"

Click the "*Drawing Tools*" menu and select the "*Line*" tool.

Single-Click at your starting point to start measuring. With your mouse, drag the line in the direction and distance of your driving directions. Measurements of your drawing will be shown in miles, feet and yards to ensure an accurate line. Double-Click at the ending point to complete measurement.

Once you've followed out the driving directions up to the dig site, you will draw to encompass the entire dig site.

Click the "*Tools*" menu and select "*Draw Work Area*" to activate the Drawing Tools.

Click the "*Drawing Tools*" menu and select the preferred drawing tool.

For this example, we will use the "*Circle*" drawing tool since our Marking Instructions state to locate a radius/circle of a pole.

Single- click and use the mouse to expand the circle to the radius needed. The drawing will temporarily display as a dashed line. Please ensure the complete and accurate dig site is encompassed on the map to ensure all facility owners are notified.

NOTE: It is highly suggested to only use the "Circle" tool to draw the dig site when you have a physical object that you can see on the map or have GPS points for that object.

Single-click to complete the marking.

You have now completed the drawing of the dig site. The marking will now be orange. The marking will be labeled as the 'Work Site Circle' and details about the size of the circle will be displayed.
