Connect your Severn Tuning K+DCAN (OBD to USB) cable to your computer's USB port

Set cable latency to 1ms in Device Manager:

1. Open Device Manager on your computer. You can type “Device Manager” in the search box next to the Window’s Start icon on the task bar.

2. Select the dropdown icon next to Ports (COM&LPT)

3. Right click your cable’s device>Properties>Port Settings>Advanced>Latency Timer (msec): Change 16 to 1. Ok, Ok, close Device Manager.

Connect your Severn Tuning cable to your car's OBD port

Insert your key and turn the ignition switch to "Run". Do not start the engine!

Functions will remain disabled until your cable is properly detected and installed. If Severn FlashApp remains disabled after connecting your cable, there is a problem with detecting the cable; the cable is incorrect; or cable drivers are improperly installed. Consult the instruction pdf file in the FlashApp folder if further troubleshooting is required.

If the bottom left corner shows "OBD2: Not Connected" in red, click this button to refresh COM ports.

Once your "OBD2: Connected" appears in green, click "Settings"

Select your DME Type (ECU) and click "OK"

DO NOT CLICK PURCHASE! Severn Tuning will handle the purchase of your vehicle license. Once the Unique ID is generated, *copy and paste* your VIN, Customer ID, and vehicle’s Unique ID into an email to [license@severntuning.com](mailto:license@severntuning.com).

Within 48 business hours, a representative from Severn Tuning will email you a license_key.lic file. Please be patient as we manually create these keys after receiving email notification. 

Click the "Import" button to import the vehicle License Key

Click "Save" (note that your vehicle's VIN, Customer ID, and vehicle’s Unique ID will be filled in)
