Quickly analysing data in Excel, generating charts and tables from prompts or auto suggestions

      Select the table including all the data, along with the headers, for 'UK region, sales 2022, and 2023'.
      Click "Analyze Data"

      Tables

      Excel will make some suggestions. We will make a start by inserting a 'Pivot Table'.
      A pivot table is a tool in Excel that summarises and analyses data from another table by grouping, sorting, and filtering it.
      In our example we will remove the 'North West' figures and you will see the totals update in the table.
      Click "Filter applied, Sorted Largest to Smallest"

      Charts

      Click "Insert Chart" - this shows sales compared year by year based on value as a bar chart.

      Next try the line graph by selecting the preview and clicking on "Insert Chart". This graph shows sales between the two years we can clearly see the average was £150,000.

      Ask questions about your data

      Click "Ask a question about your data"
      Type "which year had the most sales" then press on [[enter]]
      Click "Insert". You will see the result is that the 'south west' had the most sales in '2022'.
