Redeem Gift Card on Invoice Payment

Learn how to successfully apply a gift card to an invoice payment. This guide will walk you through the process of redeeming a gift card and ensuring the payment is applied correctly.

19 steps

To redeem a gift card, you first need to have an invoice ready to pay. There are two ways to apply a gift card: directly from the invoice, or by opening the gift card itself.

**From the invoice**, click on the payment instalment you want to pay

In the payment method dialog, select "Gift Certificate"

Click "Next."

You'll now see a "Pay with Gift Card" screen with two options. If the gift card has already been assigned to the patient, click the drop-down under "Saved Cards" to view all gift cards linked to the patient.

Select the correct one.

If the patient is providing a new code, click "Redeem New Card"

Simply enter the code provided by the patient. This will also transfer the gift card to the patient at the same time.

Once the correct gift card is selected, enter the amount you want to apply. You can use the full balance or just part of it.

Click "Pay" to confirm.

The invoice will update accordingly, and if any remaining balance is due, go ahead and settle it with the appropriate payment method.

You can also open up the Gift Card directly.

Verify that it has been assigned to the correct patient

Click "Apply"

A list of all outstanding invoices for that patient will appear. Select the invoice you want to pay

Click "Apply Gift Card"

You'll be redirected to the invoice with the gift card already selected as the payment method. Enter the amount you want to apply

Click "Pay"

The invoice will update accordingly, and any remaining balance can be settled with another payment method.
