Relationships in White Cup CRM are just that -- how different records are related to one another. Relationships are used to link ship to customers to a bill to account, and they're also how contacts, opportunities, quotes, and other items are linked to their proper accounts and other items. Relationships are one-to-many, meaning a record can be related to as many other items as needed. For example, take a contact. Many times you work with the same contact at many ship to accounts and sometimes at the bill to account level as well. In White Cup CRM, you can have one record for that contact and have relationships between the contact and as many accounts as needed. This flexibility lets you have cleaner data (no need to duplicate your contacts!) while still maintaining good, accurate records.

Managing relationships is easy. From the record -- in our example, an account --Find the Relationships widget. You can use the Type field to filter relationships by type. *Types refer to item types or record types in White Cup CRM, so Ship To Customers, Contacts, Opportunities, and Quotes are a few examples of types you will see available.* If you don't see the filter option shown below, click the Gear icon at the top right and select "Toggle Settings Bar." This will display the filter row.

When you're viewing a list of related records, you can click the triangle to expand that record and view more information.

Click the triangle again to collapse that detail view.

To navigate to the related record, simply click the name to open that record.

You can also add multiple Relationship Widgets to your form for quicker and easier viewing. This can be helpful when you want to always view a few different relationships quickly and easily from an account, contact, or another record. For example, when viewing an account, you might find it helpful to be able to view your related contacts and also your related Ship To Customers. Start by clicking "Add Widget" in the top right of your screen.

Find the the type of related item view you'd like to add (you can add multiple if desired).

This adds another relationship widget to your screen that is pre-filtered to the item type you selected. *Modifying your item form like this will automatically save for the next time you load this type of item.*

To add a new relationship, use the + (plus) button from the Relationships widget.

Click the Link Type dropdown to select what type of item you'd like to add a relationship with.

Start typing the name of that item to search existing records in White Cup CRM. When you find your match, click it.

For each relationship, you can also add a Label. A label describes something about the relationship of the two records being related and is quickly visible from the relationships widget itself. Type in whatever label you would like to have visible.

To add a second label, click the arrow button.

This will display a second label field that can be used if desired.

Click "Create Relationship" to save this relationship and the label(s) entered.

You can also add a brand new record to White Cup CRM and add it as a relationship to the current item, all at the same time. Start by clicking the + (plus) button on the Relationships widget.

Select the Link Type from the dropdown, and then use the + (plus) button to the right to add a new item of the selected type.

Fill in any required fields and any additional data desired to add this new record.

At the bottom of the form, click "Create." This will add the new record to White Cup CRM and relate it to the currently selected record.

View and manage that new record as normal.
