Reset User Account Password

Learn how to trigger a password reset for a user within the ClickSafety administrative portal. This guide provides a simple walkthrough to initiate the email notification or generate a new account password for the user.

Navigate to the "Users" tab Click the user's name to open the User Detail page.

Click "RESET PASSWORD"

Select a password reset method. **Option 1**: To create a new password for the user, select **Admin Resets Password**, then click **Continue**.

A new browser tab will open to assign a new password to the user.\ Enter the new password for the user and click **"Save"**

The password has been successfully reset. The user will be notified by email that the password was changed. \ \ **Contact the user** to share the new password.

After successfully resetting the password, **do not sign in as the user.** Close the browser tab and return to the Admin Portal.

The user will receive an email confirming that the password was successfully changed.

**Option 2**: To allow the user to reset their own password, select **User Resets Password**, then click **Send Email**. A secure password reset link will be sent to the user’s email address.

The user will receive an email with a password reset link. The user must follow the link to create a new password.

**NOTE**: An email address is required to reset a user’s password.\ \ If the user does not have an email address assigned, click **Edit** to add one to the account before proceeding with the password reset.
