Click "Instant" since we plan to send this message instantly after someone submits a new loan application.

Select who you want to "Send Email From" from the options in the drop-down menu.

Click the "Select or Enter Recipient(s)" field. For this email message, we selected "Borrower".

Type your subject in the "Subject" line. In this case, we used the subject line of "Thank you for submitting your application" but you can type anything you want that is relevant and will help you find it later.

Then click in the body of the email message and start typing your custom email message.

Once you're finished with your email message, click "Submit".

Now you should see the message you just created in the list of email messages available for your automations.

Now we need to create the rule for the automated email. Click on "Rules".

Choose an option from the "Select File Type/Module" drop-down list.

Type in a relevant name in the "Rule Name" field. In this case, we used "Thank you email after new loan submitted" but you can type anything you want that will help you find it in the future.

You can also type in a description that will help you know what this automation rule is for, if you wish.

Then select an option from the "Rule triggered when" drop-down lost. In this case we chose "Primary File Status".

In this field we selected "Lead" from the options. So we want this email to get sent out as soon as this file is given the Primary File Status of Lead, which would be right after they submit the quick app (in this example).

Under the "Instant Actions" section on the left, Click the blue "+ Action(s)" button.

Now select the email message we created a few minutes ago by checking the box next to the subject line.

Now you should see the your green subject line for your email message under the "Instant Email Notification(s)"

Click "Save". Your email automation is now enabled. You can test it out by filling out an application and using an email address that is not already in the system you can check to confirm you receive the email message.
