In this wiki, we show you how to:

- install Minima as a Multimining feature on your gateway;
- setup your MINIMA dashboard;
- fund your wallet with native MINIMA tokens;
- stake your native MINIMA tokens for a fixed APY (Annual Percentage Yield).

Head over to your gateway's Local Dashboard, navigate to the **Multimining** overview page and click the **Minima** button.

Type a **password of your choice** in the designated field and click "Submit". \
This password will be required to login to the local dashboard of your Minima node once the setup has completed.\

Click the Minima button to open the Minima project's overview page.

The Minima overview page shows:

1. a shortcut to your Minima node's Dashboard;
2. the minima container is up and running for 13 seconds;
3. reinstall or remove the minima project from your gateway;
4. this section is populated with the Minima log files.

Try it out and click the **Dashboard** button. It will bring you to your Minima node's dashboard.

Alternatively, browse to the local IP of your gateway, followed by :8003\

⚠️ It is possible your browser suggests to block the [[https://localip:8003]] address because it cannot verify the authenticity of this connection. Proceed anyway. \

Provide the password you used during the Minima installation and click **Log in**.

**Copy-paste** the following connections into the field to make your node synchronise with the blockchain. They are randomly generated node IP-addresses shared by other Minima node operators.

Ask for more, fresh connections in our dedicated [Minima Discord](https://discord.com/channels/954459049720680479/1272666841625526273) channel in case the above ones should have become outdated.

Click continue and give your node a few minutes to synchronise with the blockchain before making any transaction.

✅ You have successfully setup and synchronised your Minima node with the blockchain.

⚠️ In order to get rewarded for having a node online, you should **stake** some native MINIMA tokens in the Maximize dapp of the dashboard.

Before proceeding with staking native MINIMA tokens in the Maximize dapp, you should obtain some native MINIMA tokens in your wallet.

The native MINIMA token is not yet widely available on exchanges. The best way to obatin MINIMA is to swap USDT or wMINIMA (wrapped MINIMA) for it in the MiniSwap dapp.

Go back to the dashboard and open the **Miniswap** dapp.

To use the Miniswap dapp you need to set up your own Ethereum RPC API key, which you can obtain via the Infura platform.

Click "**Infura**" to navigate to the Infura platform.

The process of creating an Infura account is not shown in this wiki. Follow the on screen steps to **register and verify your e-mailaddress**.

⚠️ Next, follow the steps below to grab your API key.

Once logged into the Infura platform, click '**My First Key**' to show your API key.

Copy the API key.

✔️ *Best practice is to use the copy-button instead of manually copying the key, to avoid errors.*

Go back to the MiniSwap tab and Click "Continue".

*Leave the Infura tab open.*

Switch back to the Infura tab and click 'Settings'.

Click 'Reveil Secret' to show the secret key for your API key.

Copy the Secret key.

✔️ *Best practice is to use the copy-button instead of manually copying the key, to avoid errors.*

Switch back to the "MiniSwap" tab and paste the Secret key into the correct field.

Check all four boxes ✔️ and click '**Final Step**'.

⚠️ *Please verify you have actually enabled these endpoints in the **API settings page** of your Infura platform. By default, all endpoints should be enabled in your Infura platform.*

Click 'Done' to finalise the process of linking your API key to your MiniSwapp dapp.

The MiniSwap dapp is in *read mode* by default. It should be set to *write mode.*

*Click anywhere **next** to the notification to hide it.*

Go back to the Minima dashboard and **right click** the Miniswap dapp.

- Select *write mode* ✔️

Click confirm to give the MiniSwap dapp *write* permissions.

Now click Miniswap to re-open the MiniSwap dapp.

Your MiniSwap wallet is empty.

You should deposit some USDT or wMINIMA tokens **and** some ETH tokens into your MiniSwapp wallet. You will swap them for native MINIMA tokens.

- Why should I transfer some USDT or wMINIMA to my MiniSwap wallet?\
  ✔️ To SWAP it for native MINIMA tokens inside the MiniSwap dapp.
- How much USDT or wMINIMA should I transfer to my MiniSwap wallet?\
  ✔️ As much as you want to pay for the MINIMA you will swap it for. *(How much do you want to stake?)*
- Why should I transfer some ETH to my MiniSwap wallet?\
  ✔️ To pay for the gas fees of the swap on the Ethereum blockchain;\
  ✔️ to pay for the gas fees of the staking (*later in this wiki*).
- How much ETH should I transfer to my MiniSwap wallet?\
  ✔️ Enough to cover all (variable) gas fees for swapping and staking. \
  ✔️ Lookup the current ETH gas price [here](https://etherscan.io/gastracker)

Click "**Deposit**" to reveil your MiniSwapp dapp's receive address.

We choose to make a deposit to our MiniSwap wallet on the Ethereum blockchain.

Select '**Ethereum**'.

Copy the deposit address and use it as a destination address to transfer some USDT or wMINIMA **and** some ETH tokens.

⚠️ Make sure you send the tokens over the ETHEREUM blockchain. Select the **Ethereum mainnet** blockchain in the sending wallet.

⚠️ETH transaction fees are commonly high. Make sure to send enough in one transaction to avoid extra transaction fees.

After depositing both USDT or wMINIMA **and** ETH to your MiniSwapp wallet, patiently wait for the Ethereum blockchain to confirm the transactions and

**refresh** your MiniSwap wallet to show the deposited funds.

We deposited:

✔️[[46.79 USDT]] - Because we want to buy for 46 USDT worth of MINIMA tokens.\
✔️[[0.012 ETH ]]- Enough to pay for three transactions at the time of writing, according to[Etherscan's gastracker.](https://etherscan.io/gastracker)

*In this wiki we chose to swap USDT for native MINIMA. It is however possible to swap wMINIMA for native MINIMA if you prefer so. The swapping process is the same.*

Now click the 'Trade' tab to open the swapping feature of the MiniSwap dapp.

Choose '**Order Book**' to swap your deposited tokens for MINIMA tokens from the liquidity pool provided by other MINIMA holders.

➤ We select the USDT tab because we are swapping USDT for native MINIMA.\
➤ Select the wMINIMA tab if you are swapping wMINIMA for native MINIMA.\
*\
**Notice that the price for buying (swapping) 1 MINIMA is 0.05 USDT at the time of writing.***

We deposited 46.79 USDT in our MiniSwap wallet to swap for native MINIMA.\
At a price of 0.05 USDT per 1 MINIMA, this allows us to buy 935.8 MINIMA tokens.

We input a value of 935 MINIMA to swap for our USDT and click 'Buy'✔️

You need to allow your MiniSwap dapp to trade your USDT or wMINIMA for native MINIMA. Click '**Approve**'.

Approving requires a confirmation on the Ethereum blockchain. This process will take a minute or two and costs ETH gas fees.

**Patiently wait for the process to complete. Do not refresh nor close this page.**

✔️ Allowance Approved.

Click '**Ready to trade**' to place your swapping order.

1. The swap order was successfully requested;
2. the swap has been broadcast to the Ethereum blockchain;
3. a HTLC Contract was created.

Wait for the HTLC Contract to be executed and completed.

A finalised swap will turn the status of the order to 'Collected ✔️.'

Go to the 'Balance' tab of your MiniSwap dapp and check your current balance:

✔️ Our USDT was successfully swapped for 934.9999 Native MINIMA tokens.

⚠️ Before being able to stake your native MINIMA tokens in the Maximize dapp, you should withdraw them from your MiniSwap wallet to your native Minima dashboard wallet. Click '**Withdraw**' in the Balance tab of the MiniSwap dapp.

Input the amount of native MINIMA you choose to withdraw. \
\
*In this example we choose to withdraw all available native MINIMA tokens and click '**Withdraw**'.*

Wait until the 'Withdrawal Successful' notification appears.

Click '**Close**' and return to your Minima dashboard.

Navigate to the second page of the dashboard by clicking the slider button at the bottom of the page.

Open your native MINIMA wallet. Click the **Wallet** dapp button.

Click your balance to open the balance-overview page of the wallet.

✔️ Your MINIMA balance should now show as "**Funds are available to be spent immediately**".

Select your balance, right-click it and **copy** it as plain text if you plan on staking the full amount in the Maximize dapp.

⚠️ *If your balance doesn't show, **wait a few more minutes** and re-open the Wallet dapp. The withdrawal confirmation can take some time to settle on the blockchain.*

Navigate back to the homepage and click the Maximize dapp.

The Maximize dapp let's you lock up (stake) your native MINIMA tokens for a fixed duration. Depending on the selected stake duration, you are eligible for a fixed annual percentage yield (APY) :

- 1 month @ 1% APY;
- 3 months @ 3.5% APY;
- 6 months @ 8% APY;
- 9 months @ 13%APY;
- 1 year @ 18% APY.

⚠️ *When the staking period ends, collect your earnings from the **Future Cash** dapp in your Minima dashboard.*

Enter the desired amount of native MINIMA tokens you would like to stake. \
\
✔️ **Paste** your previously copied full balance if you decide to stake it all.

Click the arrow down next to the 'Select stake timeframe' field and select the desired **duration** of the staking period.

⚠️ *Your tokens will be fully locked without the possibility of withdrawing them earlier. The longer the stake duration, the higher the APY.*

A calculation of the yield is presented in the blue notification box.

*In this example:*

- we stake [[934.9999 MINIMA]];
- for a duration of 1 month;
- at a 1% Annual Percentage Yield (APY);
- we will receive [[944.349899 MINIMA]] in one month from now.

Click the '**Maximize my MINIMA**' button to stake your MINIMA.

Accept ✔️ that your stake will remain locked for the duration of the chosen timeframe and click '**Confirm**'.

Your staking transaction is now pending.

To finalise the process, you should manually accept the transaction in the '**Pending**' dapp. You can find the Pending dapp in your Minima dashboard.

Find the **Pending** dapp in your dashboard and click to open it.\

If asked, click 'Approve' a second time and patiently wait for the transaction to complete.

Pending commands are triggered when a MiniDapp attempts to access your wallet. Accept commands you would like to go ahead with and deny any others.
