First you will use the lists linked in your assignment to choose a Messier or NGC object. I have chosen M57, the Ring Nebula.

Switch to tab "Skynet: Add Observation"\
Search for your object.

Rename your observation. \
Set the observation settings to our standards:\
Max Sun: -12\
Min Target: 20\
Min Visible: 0.5

In the filters selection, select ALL three of: GenR, GenG, and GenB

Select all the scopes you want. I'm avoiding RRRT and OAJU at the moment (Fall 2023)

Set the number of exposures for each filter to "1"

Switch to the tab with the list of objects.\
To get the duration, look up the apparent magnitude of your object. This is from the Wikipedia article.

Switch to tab "REQUEST: Skynet Color Request"Find the duration for your apparent magnitude. Mine was 8.8, so I need the duration for apparent magnitudes "larger than 7".

Switch tabs back to Skynet.\
Input that duration for each filter.

Take a screenshot that shows you have a request in for 3 images: one in GenR, one in GenG, and one in GenB. Submit this to your assignment.
