Click on the Reader icon.

Reader home screen details.

View of the browse screen. You can click into the bins to to see the applications currently residing in each. Applications move through the incomplete column bins (Awaiting Submission, Awaiting Materials, and Awaiting Payment) via automated rules. Once those items are completed, the last automation will place it in the First Read bin. A reader is assigned to an application once they are moved into the First Read bin. This reader is determined by the staff assigned field, which is based on territory assignment rules. \*If an applicant answers yes to the felony application question they will be placed in the Disciplinary Review bin and assigned to the Director.

View of the search screen. You can use the search bar to look for a specific applicant.

View of the queue. This will show apps currently assigned to you as the reader.

Overview of the Reader dashboard screen. This will show you broad application details: test scores (if available), high school info, student type, program choices, and demographic data.

Example: clicking application details brings up the responses the applicant has provided on application fields.

Example: click transcript lets you scroll through all submitted transcripts.

Click annotations to overlay highlights or add sticky notes for others to see.

When others view annotations, they would see something like this

Once the application has been read and you are ready to add a decision, click the **Review form/Send to bin** button in the bottom right.

Add notes in the **Review Notes** field.

Select a decision from the **Recommended Decision** field. If you select an accept type decision, it will display additional fields. Accept decisions (except MAPS) will be added to the record as confirmed decisions, awaiting release (applicant portal view). If the decision is a deny or MAPS accept, a provisional decision will be added to the record. The Director will review and finalize. Select the appropriate **next bin** to match your decision. Unless the decision is review on hold, the application will leave your queue.

Accept decisions can have further qualifications such as early accept or alternate choice accept. If applicable, select from the **decision reason** dropdown. This will affect the language in their decision letter.

If applicable, you can add a **merit award**. Amount will be calculated/applied by automated rules.

If a merit award is given, the **other award** field will appear. You can add Horizon award here if applicable.

Use the **emery rice candidate** field to indicate to flag this applicant for consideration for the Emery Rice award in future.

Alter the admit type field if the applicant has answered incorrectly or if this info has changed during the application process.

If the applicant is going to be a commuter type, you can change **housing status** from dorm.

Select the appropriate **next bin** to match your decision. Unless the decision is review on hold, the application will leave your queue. Once all fields have been completed, click send.
