**SPLITTING PAYMENT STEPS FOR SILENT ITEM**

Silent Auction items cannot be split or have more than one winner. However, you can split payment for bidders by following the steps below. 

Click "has bids". (**NOTE:** If your organization would like the bid history for this item, download the CSV of the bid history before removing all the bids.)

Use the red "x" button to remove each bid on the item.

Once the silent item's bids have been removed, change the item's "type to LIVE.

Add the live item to the bidder's cart that is splitting the payment by using the Add a Bid/Multi-Sale section of the Butler.

Add in the specific bidder name, the live item number, and the split amount.

You will have to repeat this process for any other bidders wishing to split this item. 

**FMV NOTE:** If you would like to have the purchasers split the amount over FMV, you will have to reduce the FMV by half on the item settings in order for the FMV to be correct on each bidder's statement.

**NOTE:** As long as all of the bidders are purchasing the same item, the item will be available for checkout in the bidder's cart for the split price. 

**EXPLANATION:** Having the item type **LIVE** allows you to split the item as many times as you would like for the same price and sell the item as many times as you would like.

Click "has bids". If the winning bidder has been added previously, use the red "x" to remove the original bid. 

Once the winning bid has been removed, you can add the split payment to each bidder using the Butler.  Start by heading to "Event Central"

Using the "Add a Bid/Multi-Sale Section",  add in the specific bidder name, the live item number, and the split amount.  You will have to repeat this process for any other bidders wishing to split this item.
