Select the Yahoo Fantasy League you want to use.  In this example we use  "Rolling Rink (2022) - Yahoo! Fantasy Sports NHL"

Tip! You can also follow these steps without connecting a Yahoo Fantasy League, but you'll need to select from the NHL data sets rather than the Yahoo Fantasy data sets shown here.

Click "PLAYERS" from the Yahoo Fantasy data sets

Tip! Importing Yahoo Fantasy data sets will include information about players and teams assigned in your fantasy league.  This allows you to see which players are already on your team or another team in your league.

Click "PLAYER STATS" from the NHL data sets

Tip! Once you've selected two data sets you'll automatically be taken to the DataSpace Join page.  If you want to add additional data sets, click on "ADD MORE DATA".

Tip! Once you're done adding additional data sets you'll return to the DataSpace Join page

Tip!  The first of two data set joins is now complete. This join connects data from your Yahoo Fantasy League with NHL player stats, expanding the information that is available from Yahoo to provide a comprehensive DataSpace with more data than either set on its own.

Tip! As you create joins, the join tiles in the Your Joins section update showing the detail of which data sets are connected and how.

Click the "Anchor" field below Player Stats (Reliant)

Tip! By adding the Player Info data set you'll also be able to view which positions a player is eligible for. Although there is player position information available from the Yahoo Fantasy Players data set, it only provides information about the position a player has been assigned to on a fantasy team.

Tip! Use the dropdown below to show and hide the columns to layout your DataSpace to suit your needs.  Columns do not need to be visible in order to use them in a Custom Calculated Column.

Click here to select the columns you'd like to see as part of your DataSpace.

For this example we'll use the following DataSpace layout, with a minimal number of columns for visibility.  
Click "ADD NEW COLUMN" to begin creating a Custom Calculated Column

Name you Custom Calculated Column using this field (name required)

Select the Expression field to begin editing your Custom Calculated Column.

For this example, we'll use the following expression:

((Player_Stats__regular_season_assists)+(Player_Stats__regular_season_goals))/(Player_Stats__regular_season_games_played)

((Player_Stats__regular_season_assists)+(Player_Stats__regular_season_goals))/Player_Stats__regular_season_games_played

Tip! Copy & Paste from the Available Fields section to ensure there are no errors in the column names.

Once your Custom Calculated Column is visible, your can sort and filter by Minimum and Maximum values.

Tip! For this example, we'll filter out any players that are already assigned to a fantasy team in our league.  This can be done by only showing the Player that have "--" in the Fantasy Team column.

Click on the dropdown in the Fantasy Team column and place a checkmark in the field labeled "--" to filter out any players already assigned to a Fantasy team.

Tip! Some players will have a high value in the Custom Point Calculation column because they have only played a few games.  We'll filter them out by adding a "10" to the Minimum field in the Games Played column.

Players can now be sorted and filtered by the all other columns in you DataSpace. For example, filtering by Pos (Position) from the Player Info data set will only show players eligible for specific positions (ex: Centers).

Select "C" in the dropdown to only view Players eligible for the Center position, or "LW" to on view Players eligible for the Left Wing position.

Tip! Save your view to always come back to the same Column configuration.  Your can have multiple views for a single DataSpace.

Click here to re-load the saved 'Sleepers Calculation' view.

Congratulations! You now have a SportWise DataSpace configured to find NHL Sleepers.  Your DataSpace will update daily with NHL game data, Player Stats and changes in your Yahoo Fantasy League.
