Access the patient's record in the EMR.
If the patient's treatment plan type doesn't fit any of the structured options, you can start the patient without a structured plan, just a free text box as follows:
1. Click the toggle for "Generic Plan." It will turn blue.
2. Choose the patient's type of diabetes.
3. Choose the patient's pre meal glucose target range.
4. Click the blue "Start Patient" button.
5. Click the blue "Confirm" button.
