Select your inspection type; In this case we'll be using scan to 3D object

Select your 3D model; In this case we have a design surface of a parking lot

Select your point cloud region to compare to; In this case it's Ground Refined

Select the distance between deviation comparison between the scan and surface

Select the color map of your choosing, we'll be using a cut/fill map in this example for comparison

Click "Absolute distances (positive values only)"

You can see we now have a new view for point cloud inspections, and the colors have appeared showing the differences in cut/fill between our two objects

The report window will bring up a scale bar referencing the difference of the objects based on the set comparison distance

You can create points along the inspection to add to your report

Here I am creating a new layer for these inspection points

Select "Coordinate" to begin creating points

Click along the inspection surface to create points

Click "Add" to add any additional points you may already have created

This will generate a report showing the deviation of the points you created from the surface to the scan
