Traceable Instrument Assignment

Instruments can be permanently assigned to a station from the global list of created instruments. ProCal will always use these assigned instruments when checking traceability at the start of a calibration procedure. One instrument can be assigned to multiple stations. Current assignments can be checked in the traceable instrument administration screen.

To assign an instrument to a station go to 'File' then click 'Assign Traceable Instruments'.

Click the 'Assign Instrument' button.

Select the category containing the instrument to be assigned. Select the instrument to be assigned. Then click the 'Assign Instrument' button.

Click 'Yes' to confirm, or 'No' to cancel.

If your instrument requires a manual FTDI address, click 'Yes' to enter this. Otherwise click 'No'.

Enter the FTDI address then click ' Set FTDI'.

To remove an instrument from a station, go to 'File' then click 'Assign Traceable Instrument'.

Select the instrument to be removed, then click the 'Remove Instrument' button.

You will receive conformation that the instrument has been removed from this station's assignment list.
