Uninstall Avast Business Antivirus with Avast Clear for Windows

If you can’t uninstall using the standard method, using this dedicated Avast Clear removal tool ensures that Avast can still be uninstalled. Avast Clear is a more thorough way of uninstalling Avast Business Antivirus and will bypass the normal Avast uninstaller setup. This ensures Avast removal even if you receive the message that the “setup is already running.”

Download Avast Clear uninstall utility <https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avastclear.exe>

In this example using Chrome, click on the folder symbol, do not just open the file.

Right-click on the file **avastclear**

Click **Run as administrator**

If User Account Control comes up like the example below, select **Yes** to continue

Avast Antivirus Clear will now open

You will then be prompted to run the tool from Windows Safe Mode which I recommend selecting **No**, as it still removes Avast 99% of the time with no issues and makes the process easier for you.

If you choose No and find this does not work, repeat the process but select Yes and when prompted to restart Windows in Safe Mode.

On the Welcome to Avast Uninstall Tool screen, the location and product are usually detected automatically, but you can manually select them if you think they are not correct. Click **Uninstall**

Close and save any files/software you have open, then click **Restart Computer**
