Whether you were automatically added to a community or you joined on your own, you can control your email preferences for all communities in the Member Hub. By default, you are subscribed to Daily Digests from all communities you are a member of except the All Members community. Read on to understand your notification options.

When you join a Community on the Hub, you will be prompted to select your notification preferences. These are notifications about posts within the community.

Similarly, you will also be prompted to select your community notification settings the first time you post in a community you are already a member of (such as your chapter).

Select the "Daily Digest - One email containing all posted messages from the previous day" option to receive an email every night of any posts in that community that day. So, if there were no posts that day, you will not receive an email.

Or, select the "Real Time - One email for each message" if you want to be notified via email in real time every time people post in the community (not recommended unless you are a Community Admin).

Or, select the "I would like to opt-out of receiving email messages" option to opt out of receiving email messages when members post.

Be sure to hit submit to save your preferences.

If you do not want to receive daily email notifications per community, you can opt for: 1) Daily Consolidated Digest, all discussions from all selected community from that day (**recommended**) AND/OR 2) Weekly Consolidated Digests, all discussions from all selected community from that week. You can opt into this upon initial joining the community as shown below, or from your profile settings.

To see these preferences, go to your profile.

Click "Profile"

Click "My Account"

Click "Community Notifications"

Here you can select which communities you would like in the Daily Consolidated Digest (recommended).

Or, you can select which communities you would like in the Weekly Consolidated Digest.

Toggle this on if you wish to be opted out of the Daily Digests when you opt in to a Consolidated option (recommended).

Settings now reflect No Daily Digests, all communities in a Consolidated Daily Digest, and no Weekly Consolidated Digest.

Click "Email Preferences" for a final setting to review.

Review each of the email descriptions and toggle the Yes/No to indicate your preferences

Note: Admins of your communities do have the ability to email you directly from the system. This is different from the community Daily Digests. If you wish, you can opt-out of such emails here (not recommended)
