Using the RDLA Quote Calculator

Open Quote Calculator

Navigate to the database record in the RDLA app in Salesforce.

Click into the Quote you want to fund. The Current Quote is on the right side of the database record under Current Quote.

Click "Launch Quote Calculator".

The top and bottom of the calculator screen contain the totals for the calculator. These totals are updated using the Calculate \[section\] Funding buttons located after each section. - You **MUST** click the 'Calculate \[section\] Funding' button after each section to save the calculations. - Some sections have one entry (such as the College and Dean funds), and others allow multiple entries (such as Faculty RPF section).

Configure College/Dean Funding

Both the College and Dean funding have one entry point, where you can enter an amount or percentage of funding.

Enter either a dollar amount or percentage, then Click "Calculate \[section\] Funding". Review the top section to see the calculations update.

Configure Multiple Entry Funding

You can use the anticipated fields to get an idea of cost breakdown for an individual section. For example, the Faculty RPF section allows you to enter a number of faculty and an amount or percentage. The calculations will indicate the cost per faculty given the information you provided. 1. Click "Calculate Faculty RPF Account Funding".

You can also assign individual Faculty RPF accounts to the Quote using the "Assign Faculty RPF Account Funders" checkbox. You can add/remove as many as you need to, and enter unique amounts/percentages for each Faculty RPF. 1. You will see a list of Faculty RPF accounts to select. 2. Click "Calculate Faculty RPF Account Funding" to update the total calculations.

Complete and Save Allocations

Once you are satisfied with your entries, you can decide to save the Fund Source Uses to the Quote by clicking "Save Funding Allocations" at the bottom of the screen. - This will save the Fund entries for review or conversation to the Contract later. - You do not need to hit 100% funding (you can be over or under) to save your entries. - You will be able to edit or remove your entries only if you save them.

If you do not click Save Funding Allocations, your entries will not be saved to the Quote.

Click "Next" to continue. This will save your selections (if you selected Save Funding Allocations). Click "Finish" to return to the Quote record in Salesforce.

If you saved the allocations, you will see the Fund Source Uses to the right of the Quote details.

Launch Quote Calculator at any time to review or update the Fund Source Uses.
