Tip! You can also use keyboard shortcuts to access the Tell Me bar. For example, press Alt+Q in Word, Excel or PowerPoint to activate it.
Open a Microsoft Office application - in this case we are using Microsoft Word.
Click the "Search or Tell Me" bar found top centre of the application.

Example 1 - insert an image

Type "insert image" and you can now press on 'Insert Picture' and select the image you want.

      Example 2 - headers & footers

Type "Insert footer" then select "Add Footer".

      Example 3 - adding a front cover

Type "Front Cover" then Click "Add a Cover Page" and choose one of the suggestions.

      Example 4 - formatting

In the Tell Me bar search for "Font". You will then see common formatting suggestions like changing font, colour and typeface.

      Bonus Tip - files

If you are using the latest version of Microsoft Office and have it linked to Microsoft Office 365 it will also search your cloud storage (OneDrive, SharePoint) for files so you can easily find reference material without leaving the application you are in.
