Tip! If your organization has multiple FEINs, use the one that is associated with your employee's payroll.

Enter your legal Organization Name and FEIN. After registering your organization, you will receive an email to log in for the first time and set a password.

Alert! An email will be sent from [wtfp@commcorp.org](mailto:wtfp@commcorp.org)  If you don't see an email, check your spam filter. This email contains the username you will use when logging into your portal.

Tip! Your username is your email address + **.**\_*wtfp_gp" example; email@domain.com.\_wtfp_gp*

This home button is your application dashboard. You will be able to navigate to your organization information, view applications in progress, and see your previous WTFP -GP application submissions via the GP Application portal.  \

Please note: all applications in progress or submitted prior to the GP application portal cannot be viewed on the application dashboard.

Upon logging in to your user portal, the home button will always bring you back to your application dashboard. 

From the dashboard, you will be able to navigate to review or update your organization's information, view applications in progress, see your previous WTFP -GP application submissions, and start new applications.

Alert! Always start at 'Organization Information Update' before beginning a new application.

Review this section to make sure all fields are up-to-date and accurate, use the pencil to edit any field.

Please update your Worldwide and MA employee numbers:

- Massachusetts Employees are defined as those who are active W-2 employees with active MA tax withholdings. All other employees are considered ‘Worldwide’
- Worldwide Employees include the total number of W-2 employees at all locations worldwide including your parent company, all subsidiaries and the the MA employees.

When you you have updated the Organization Information section, click the '*home*' icon to head back to your dashboard.

On your dashboard, please click one of the following:

"New Grant Application" if you are applying as an Individual.

"New GP Consortium Partnership Grant Application" if you are applying as a Consortium

"New ESOL Bridge Grant Application" if you are applying for a Bridge Grant to continue workplace ESOL.

For the purpose of this demo, we will be applying as an individual, using the "New Grant Application" button. Please choose the path that matches your needs.

Once you choose an application pathway, review the information on the welcome page. 

- The welcome page includes need to know information such as important policy or grant updates and resource links. 
- In addition, the welcome page has a list of documents that you will need to upload prior to submitting your application, and how to preview your application once completed.

Please add our email address to your contact list to ensure communication regarding your application does not go to a spam folder.

Tip! Once you have reviewed all of the information on the 'Welcome Tab,' select 'next' to move onto the next section, 'Grant Information: History.'

You are required to answer the Grant History questions in order to move onto the next section. If you are unsure about past grant dates, you can find that information on the dashboard, or reach out to [wtfp@commcorp.org](mailto:wtfp@commcorp.org) and we can help.

Please describe your previous grants, including past objectives and specific training topics covered for any grants within the past 5 years, and explain how the training in your new grant application differs from past grants.

If this application is a resubmission, explain the changes you made to the application. New submissions should reflect the feedback received from the WTFP Review Team to be reconsidered for General Program grant funds.

Before leaving the page, please remember to save your work. You can navigate anywhere in the application using the panel on the left side of the page.

If you try to save a page with missing fields, the areas needing attention will be highlighted.

Please enter the contact information requested. Include direct contact information for each person listed. The primary contact will be the main point of contact during the application period as well as through the life of your grant.


This person will be the main / primary point of contact for application inquiries, such as but not limited to; course details, Certificate of Good Standing errors, compliance screenings, and overall discrepancies. This person serves as a coordinator for the company and is often the person completing the grant application.

Tip! Telephone numbers must be formatted as follows: (xxx)xxx-xxxx

Your authorized signatory must be someone in your organization authorized to sign agreements on behalf of the company.

Your fiscal contact will be the main point of contact for all fiscal matters and will be responsible for keeping track of the grant related invoices. This can be the same as your primary contact, but is often someone in your company's finance department.

It is helpful to have an additional contact in case the primary contact is not available.

About Your Training Plain: Summary

- This section will gather information about your proposed training plan, please provide a high level overview of the plan rather than a list of training topics.
- You will also answer questions on how you assessed your training needs, and ongoing training efforts. Keep in mind that Workforce Training Fund Program funds should supplement, not replace your company's private investment in training.

About Your Training Plan: Wage & Estimate 

- This section will gather the current wage information for your training participants. If you are unsure of the "Cost of Benefits (% of wages)" for your company, someone on your HR team should be able to provide that information for you.

Please use the participant table to identify how many training participants fall into each job category and include the average wage of each category's participants.

We use this information to calculate your grant's wage match. If there are categories with no participants, enter 0.

The Training Impact section 

- Asks for details on how the proposed training will impact; job growth, job preservation, and wage impact on your workforce along with the rationale on which you base your expectations.

Tip! Use the search feature to see if your Training Provider is already in our database.

- If the training provider is available, you will be able to select them.
- If you are unable to find them, enter their name into the search bar, and then add their information requested below.

Training Plan: Training Providers

- Enter all training providers included in your training plan.

For each training provider, select all relevant modes of training delivery per course.

About Your Training Plan: Module Objectives

- In this section, you will provide the details for each module in your training plan. You can enter up to 5 modules.
- Clearly explain what issue(s), such as business problems or opportunities, do you intend to address with this training.
- Please be specific and provide context to help application reviewers understand your business objectives.
- You are required to provide at least 2 key performance indicators (KPIs) for each module. In some instances, you might have the KPI on multiple modules. This is ok as long as the KPI fits the module's training and objectives.

If you are entering multiple modules, select '*yes*' to add another module. 

- Your training plan can have up to 5 modules. 
- Once all modules are entered, select 'save and next' to add your training courses.

- This workbook will be used to document the course participant and budget details of each training course for your grant application.
- You will need some fields and calculations from this workbook to accurately enter the course budget details on the online application.
- You may complete this workbook before or while filling out the course breakdown on your online application.

Enter the requested information for each course. 

- The training providers and modules you added in the previous section will be available in the dropdown lists on the course page. 
- Select the appropriate module and training provider, then choose the course number and enter the course name. 
- Confirm that the course is not a mandated training. If the course is a mandated training, you will be asked to provide additional information.

Select Group Rate or Per Person Fees

- Then enter the requested course and budget information from your WTFP - GP Course Detail and Budget Workbook. (The first tab of the workbook has detailed instructions explaining how to fill it out.)

When entering course budget details, you will see error messages and incorrect calculations, these all resolve when you save the course information.

If there is an error after saving, please read the information on the highlighted fields for more information.

Save after entering each course.

- Once you save a course you will be given the option to add another course.
- When all courses are entered, please save and move on to section 8, the Final Grant Budget.

If you have entered all training courses, select '*No*' to review the Final Grant Budget details.

Review your Final Grant Budget. You will see the amount you are requesting and the total per person average of your grant. Please note requested funds are not guaranteed.

Review the Matching Funds Information

- Total matching funds should be equal to or greater than the requested funds in order to satisfy the required $1:$1.

Tip! Review the list of required documents carefully. 

- Upload all required documents prior to submitting your application. 
- Missing or incomplete documents will delay the review of your application.

When your application is complete

- select the '*Files & Attachments*' button to upload the required supporting documents with your application.

- The uploaded documents will be listed in the '*Files & Attachments*' pop up window. 
- When all documents are uploaded, close the pop up window.

Take time to review your application for accuracy.

- Use the preview button to review your application section by section and adjust or correct any information necessary.

The preview window is easy to navigate: use the scroll bar on the right, and select '*save and next*' to move onto the next section.

The final step before submitting

- Click the '*Print*' button to save a PDF copy of the completed application for your records.

- After you save the PDF of your application.
- Click '*Submit*' to send the application to the WTFP Review Team.

The final step to submit your application is to sign and certify the information entered in the application is accurate.
