you'll need a web3 wallet to sell your cards. please download <https://metamask.io/download/> before continuing with the next steps.

**important: please read** (this is the only long paragraph in this guide I promise)\

before we start, I wanted to lay out all the platforms you'll be using to start selling. crypto is still in its early days so it could get a bit confusing sometimes.

1. **crossmint.com**: if you used your email to checkout, this is where your nft is currently stored. the issue with crossmint is that it doesn't support any web3 services like selling nfts. so, we'll need to transfer your nft out of crossmint into a web3 wallet. (you won't use crossmint anymore after today - consider it your training wheels into web3)
2. **metamask**: this is the most popular web3 wallet. we'll transfer your nft here. with metamask, you'll be able to access all web3 services, like selling!
3. **opensea.io**: this is the most popular place to sell nfts on web3. once you connect your metamask wallet to it, you'll be able to sell any nfts you own here!

enter the email you used to purchase your card

a code will be sent to your email to login

go back to [crossmint.com](http://Crossmint.com)

before continuing with the next step, ensure you have downloaded metamask at<https://metamask.io/download/> and completed all installation steps. \

once downloaded, ensure you pinned metamask to your browser.

click into your metamask extension on the top right of your screen. If you don't have metamask please download it here: <https://metamask.io/download/>

copy wallet address to clipboard. it will be right at the top and look something like this : 0x5fe28749f604EE84Af8d0Fd366298A7156c623D1

paste your wallet address into the "recipient wallet" field

you successfully transferred the nft to your wallet!

open a new tab on [www.opensea.io.](//www.opensea.io)this is where you will sell your card

you'll see a notification popup in your metamask wallet each time you are trying to connect to web3 services. click on your metamask icon.

read and follow steps to sign into openea

once logged in, click the "profile" icon on the top right

you should see your card on your profile (if not, follow the next steps)

if you don't see your card, click on "more"

you should see your card listed here. then, click on the bottom three dots "..."

once you see your card on your collected tab, click "list for sale"

a popup will appear asking you to switch networks to "base". click "switch networks"

enter all details (price, duration, etc.)

pricing is in ETH. please ensure you entered the right amount you wish to sell for.\

once you're done, click "complete listing"

in the upcoming steps, opensea will require some ETH in your wallet in order to list your items on opensea. it's a lot of steps for someone new to crypto, so please email me at [erick@basedcards.com](mailto:erick@basedcards.com) with the subject "NEED ETH" and your wallet address, and I will send you $0.05 worth of ETH. This will be enough to process the transaction.

when you click, "complete listing" a popup will appear asking to approve the transaction. click your metamask extension and follow through will all the steps.

if you don't have eth, click "buy eth" and follow the steps provided or email me with your wallet address at [erick@basedcards.com](mailto:erick@basedcards.com) with the subject line "NEED ETH" and I will send you $0.05 worth of it.

once you've added in eth into your wallet, click "confirm". this just lets opensea have access to list and transfer your nft when it sells.

click "sign". this processes the transaction.

a popup will appear. click "view listing"

congrats 🎉 your card is now listed for sale. once someone buys, the payment gets sent straight to your wallet and your nft is automatically transferred. enjoy 0% fees from my end!
