How to Modify an Exam Reservation in myDSS

This guide provides instructions on how to navigate the student portal to view, update, or cancel scheduled exam reservations under your alternative testing tab. Follow these steps to ensure your testing accommodations are accurately managed for your upcoming courses. Modifications can include alterting the exam reservation details or cancelling the reservation as a whole.

Exam Modification

Navigate to [myDSS](https://bachelor.accessiblelearning.com/TWU/dashboard/Testing.aspx), scroll to the bottom of your page under the "**Accommodations**" tab, and select "**Alternative Testing**".

Under the "**Upcoming Exams Scheduled**" module, click "**View**" to open the exam details of the desired exam reservation you wish to modify.

You can then change the exam type, exam date, and/or time, remove and/or add certain accommodations, and alter the standard duration of the exam reservation.

Once you have made the changes you would like, scroll to the very bottom of the page and click "**UPDATE EXAM REQUEST**" to save your changes.

Submitting a change request through myDSS does not automatically alter your reservation. All changes must be manually reviewed and approved by DSS staff. Changes to exam dates or times require additional processing time, as we must receive direct confirmation from your instructor before the update can be approved.

Request Cancellation

Navigate to the exam details of the desired reservation, click "**View**", scroll down to the bottom of the screen, and expand the "**CANCEL EXAM REQUEST**" section, select a cancellation reason, and click the cancellation button.

Click "**CONFIRM**" to finalize the cancellation.

MyDSS will take you back to the alternative testing main page, and you will see a status of " **Pending Changes**". You will use this as confirmation that your cancellation request was submitted, and myDSS will inform you when an action has been saved and/or completed.
