Enable/Disable Turnitin Similarity Score

In your Catalyst course, select a **hand-graded assignment** where you'd like to add the Turnitin similarity checker.

Go to the assignment's **Definition** tab. This is where all assignment content editing happens!

Select **EDIT ITEM** in the upper right corner of the question you want to add the Turnitin similarity checker to. Turnitin can be added to **essay** and **file upload** questions. *Note: Only the first file uploaded will be run through three similarity checker.*

Enable the **Similarity Score** check box. *Catalyst Recommendation: The expected response should contain 8 words or more to be given a similarity score. Caution should be used on questions where high similarity is expected. Equations, calculations, chemical equations, procedure steps, and literature references will likely return high similarity results.*

Scroll back up and **Save**!

To **disable** Turnitin on any question, open the editing model, uncheck the **Similarity Score** check box, and **Save** again!
