01 DMaF 3D Printing - Setup & Install

Learn the workflow for installing Bambu Studio, importing custom configurations, and preparing files for the Bambu P2S 3D printers.

Software Installation

Search of the latest version of 'Bambu Studio'.

Click to download the installer for your operating system.

Open the downloaded installer file.

Follow the installation prompts to install Bambu Studio.

Open the newly installed 'Bambu Studio'.

Bambu Studio Setup

Click through leaving the default settings. Pause when you get to "Filament Selection".

In 'Filament Selection', add '**PETG Translucent**' then click '**Next**'.

Continue with the default installation.

'Select the '**Prepare**' tab in Bambu Studio.

Click here to define the printer hardware we are slicing for.

Select '**Bambu Lab P2S**'.

Download and Install DMaF Slicing Profiles

Navigate to the '**DMaF Bambu**' printer page.

Download preset slicer profiles.

Click "Recent download history"

Extract the downloaded process presets .zip file.

In Bambu Studio, navigate to '**File > Import > Import Configs...**'.

Navigate to the extracted folder and import both process preset JSON files.

Click '**OK**'.

Select the imported DMaF process preset from the dropdown.

Select a DMaF profile.\ This ensures supports and a brim are enabled. These settings reduce print failures and are strongly recommended for beginners. Please speak to a technician before making any changes.

Click this coloured square to select the filament colour.\ *You will also confirm the correct colour has been selected within 3DPOS when sending the file to print.*
