04 DMaF 3D Printing - Uploading & Printing

Learn how to upload Gcode to 3DPrinterOS, selecting the correct printer and filament colour, and managing remote prints. Upload to Printer OS

Login to 3D Printer OS <https://cloud.3dprinteros.com/#/> If you haven’t already you'll need to make an account and join the DMAF Lab Work group. Instructions can be found here: <https://canvas.sydney.edu.au/courses/70373/pages/3d-printing-printer-os-setup?module_item_id=3204992>

Navigate to 3DPrinterOS '**My Files**' page. Click '**Add files**' and then '**select from computer**'.

Select your exported STL file and click '**Open**' to upload. Remember to name your file correctly:\ Uni Key, Colour, Filament Type and other file information.\ eg. **SCHO9200_White_PLA_Massing Model 1**

Remote Print Management

Click '**Print**'.

Select the printer that matches the colour you want to use. **Note:** Printers will only appear if you have enough funds in your 3DPOS account. \ To add credit, you must visit DMaF in person. DMaF can transfer funds from your SydPay account to your 3DPOS account for top-ups.

Click '**Print**'.

Click on the drop down arrow for available colours.

Choose the colour you want to print with.\ The white box labelled “PLA” indicates that the file was sliced using white filament settings. The four circles show that the printer is loaded with two white and two red filament reels. 3DPrinterOS will attempt to automatically match the colour you sliced for, but you can override this by selecting a different colour from the dropdown menu.

Confirm your colour and click '**Print**'.

The printer will take about 5 minutes to warm up and start your print.

You can click 'close' at anytime without interrupting your print.

You can always check back on your print by clicking within the '**Activity**' tab.

A technician will bag your completed items and place them on the collection shelf outside DMaF for pickup at your convenience. If there are any issues with your print, the technician will contact you via 3DPOS, so please keep an eye on your messages.
