Creating and Using Segments in Advanced Searches

Segments allow you to create groupings, or segmentations, of your membership using the search criteria you've entered. Segments can be used to: create advanced searches, create "Tags" in Mailchimp, among other things. Segments can be created by all users. They offer settings to determine who can see the Segment.

Creating Segments

Click "Create Segment"

Click "Director of Operations"

Click "save Save Segment"

Using Segments to Build Advanced Searches

Click "Add Search Criteria"

Click the "Narrow List by Entity" drop down to limit the options available for selection. Select "Segment" in the drop down list. Then decide if you want your search results to include or exclude the members of the Segment. Click the blue "Use Selected Items" button.

Click "Search"
